Black Fort Cafe And Grill Resto Thiruvalla is a great place to dine with family and friends. The ambience is fantastic, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. The menu has a wide variety of dishes from starters to main courses, including some Arabic dishes. The parking space is also sufficient. The customer service is good, but the food could have been better. Unfortunately, none of us were pleased with the food. The Tandoori roti was over burnt and the Shezwan noodles had no trace of sauce. The Beef Steak, Al Faham Chicken, Alfredo Chicken Pasta, Chicken Fried Rice & Lemon Juice, however, had the WOW factor. The Honey glazed chicken steak was also awesome. The Peach Smoothie was too sweet, and the Chicken Burger patty was dry. Overall, the experience was not bad, but could have been better.
Disappointing Experience – Overpriced and Underwhelming We recently visited this restaurant and were quite disappointed with the experience, especially considering the high prices. We tried a strawberry sundae, a smoothie, and a dry fruit cream salad, but unfortunately, none of them met expectations. Starting with the strawberry sundae, it was far from what one would expect. It was simply two scoops of ice cream topped with some nuts, nothing more. There was no creativity or effort in making it a proper sundae. To make matters worse, both the sundaes we tried tasted the same, with only the ice cream flavor being different. Calling it a "sundae" felt misleading—it was just ice cream with some toppings. The smoothie was the biggest letdown. A smoothie is expected to be thick and creamy, but this one was completely watered down. When we pointed this out, the staff casually responded as if this was how it was supposed to be, which clearly showed a lack of knowledge about what they were serving. Given the price, this was extremely disappointing. Overall, the food was not worth the cost, and the quality did not justify the high pricing. The restaurant needs to reconsider its recipes, improve staff training, and ensure that the items on the menu meet basic expectations. Would not recommend it unless significant improvements are made. Tried their Beef Paal Porotta. It was spicy and tasty. I was satisfied with the food. The service was also great. The only problem was that there were a lot of flies flying around and we could not enjoy the food completely because of it. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
