I went to this restaurant with high expectations after seeing all the glowing reviews, especially since a friend wanted to treat us here to celebrate his success. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The restaurant is conveniently located just a stone’s throw from Naihati Railway Station. It’s on the top floor of a building, but accessibility isn’t an issue as there’s an elevator. The ambience is actually quite good, colourful Awadhi style décor, warm lighting, and, most importantly, enough space to sit comfortably without feeling cramped. So far, so good. But that’s where the positives end. The food was outright terrible. We ordered around 5–6 different dishes, and not a single one tasted even remotely decent. Every item was badly prepared and unpleasant to eat. For a place with such high ratings, this was shocking. Now on the “glowing reviews.” While we were eating, two staff members came up to our table and asked to record us. Though they took our consent, most of us were clearly uncomfortable. They started asking questions about the food while recording, and frankly, it’s not easy to be brutally honest when a camera is shoved in your face. Since I’m not rude enough to call them out mid-recording, we were forced to give positive responses. This experience made it very clear how those high ratings might be getting generated. If I were being completely honest, I would give this place 0 stars purely because of the food. Ambience alone cannot justify such poor quality. Please don’t waste your time or money here.
