We were looking for a spot that locals visit, since most restaurants in Ooty caters to tourists (mostly North Indian, continental and Chinese cuisines). After much research, I came across Appu's Mess, which reminded me of a Kerala Thattukada. Now for anyone who visits this place, do not expect it to have ambience or hospitality. It's simply a place to eat good, affordable food, nothing else. For anyone who's looking for a place which serves authentic every day Tamilian meal, this is definitely the place to visit.
