Many guests suppose that you can eat tasty fried fish, masala dosa and chicken here. This restaurant is recommended for the friendly staff. The cool service is something these restaurateurs care about. You will certainly appreciate the spectacular atmosphere. But Ananda Bhavan Grand Restaurant hasn't achieved a high rating from Google users.

We (four of us) had gone there for lunch two weeks back. We were seated on the first floor. The ladies who served us food were very very helpful. In fact the suggestion they gave regarding the food we should order was really good. The fish curry meals and chicken biriyani ordered were nice. The king fish fry and the smaller fish in the curry was really tasty. The food overall was excellent but there was a great delay with serving the fish. When placing the banana leaf they should ask us what our fish order is, but they did not. And so, we could not enjoy the fish with our meal. We were also not informed that the payasam was not included. Which we should have known. Overall good experience. The food was decent, but the service was very disappointing. We had to wait over 15 minutes just to place an order, as no staff attended to us. When we finally managed to call someone over, it took another 15+ minutes for the food to arrive. One staff member, a slightly overweight man in a tucked-in shirt, seemed to deliberately ignore groups of bachelors or boys. From my observation, he only attended to families and older customers, likely expecting tips. Despite being seated for over 10 minutes, he passed by us and prioritized a family who arrived later. The management really needs to train their staff on proper customer service.
