Khasi Pork Platter (Mini) - Rs.150/- (Rice, Smoked Pork, Pork Meatball & veggies) Amazing Khasi Restaurant, Lapalang, Shillong Khasi Foodstall $ 18.11.24 Today I had a sudden urge to have Jadoh. And I had a place in mind. Amazing Khasi Restaurant, well that's what it's called on Google Maps & why this place? Well I've noticed it being very popular with foreigners from the reviews they wrote on GoogleMaps. So was this was another Peitung but serving Khasi food? I made my way to Lapalang & it's a basic Khasi Ja Stall. Nothing fancy, but yes this had a menu pasted on the wall. I asked for Jadoh but sadly they had ran out of it. So I asked for half portion of Jalieh which was 10 bucks, a piece of smoked pork & pork meatball, which were 40 bucks each & kubi Sdieh, jhur Khleh, muli Khleh, baingon Khleh, karela Sdieh & Phan Khleh, all of which were 10 bucks each. The food arrived almost immediately since there was a rush in the stall & everyone was working fast. I started digging in. The smoked pork was very tasty & wasn't stringy like with most smoked meats. The meatball was decently sized & was soft & tender & didn't have any small lumps of meat. I hate it when those lumps are present. It was not dry as well. The veggies & salads were all fresh & tasted healthy. Overall a good clean & fast place to have Khasi Food. Now I understand why there were so many reviews about this place from foreigners.
