Visited YAKI expecting a premium Asian dining experience, but unfortunately it turned out to be quite underwhelming for the price point. The food quality was okay, but nothing exceptional. The major concern was the portion size versus pricing. For example, five dim sums priced at around ₹600 and a very small portion of crispy lotus stem fry at a similar cost felt unjustified. The taste was fairly average and comparable to many other Asian restaurants in Pune, without any standout flavors or presentation that would explain the premium pricing. Another point that left a sour note was an overall service charge of ₹330 added to the bill. While service charges are technically optional, this was not clearly mentioned or communicated, which affects transparency and customer experience. I don’t mind paying more for genuinely great food, thoughtful portions, or a memorable experience—but in this case, the value simply didn’t align with the cost. Overall, the restaurant feels overpriced for what it offers, and there is significant scope for improvement in portioning, pricing, and billing clarity.
