It's one of the best place in tapovan area serving wood fired pizza, pasta, kombucha and more. The only drawback is for the foreigners who doesn't use UPI as they do not accept card payment (could be a temporary issue). Rest Assured for one of the best dining place to hangout and chill with friends and family. VJ’s Giardino by the Ganges is one of the best cafés and restaurants in Rishikesh, located in Tapovan. The place offers both indoor and outdoor seating, making it suitable for all moods. They are especially known for their Italian menu and wood-fired pizzas, but I decided to try something local and went for their Garhwali Thali. It was truly wholesome and filling, featuring a variety of traditional Garhwali dishes. Each item felt thoughtfully prepared and rooted in local flavours. The highlight for me was the Jhangore ki kheer. It had a mild sweetness, a comforting texture, and a very calming, almost soulful feel to it. Simple, balanced, and memorable. The outdoor seating deserves special mention. It offers a beautiful view of the Ganges and Ram Jhula, which elevates the entire dining experience. The staff was polite and cooperative, and basic amenities like clean toilet facilities are available. If you’re looking for an authentic Garhwali thali or some of the best Italian food in town, paired with a scenic view of Rishikesh, this place is definitely worth a visit.
