After enjoying Gallery Sanskriti, go to this cafe which is not far away. According to the guests' comments, Italian dishes here are quite good and the menu is well-organized. It's time to try nicely cooked dan dan noodles, ravioli and dumplings. Many reviewers suppose that you can drink delicious coffee at Viso By Basil.

The competent staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. The cool service is something these restaurateurs care about.

Cafe Viso By Basil A new and latest entry to the cafe's list of healthy and aesthetic cafe at Alipore. And House Of Sow for fitness and wellness. Having the super calm vibe and ambiance a must visit for peaceful experience. Price for two : Rs 900 - 1000 ( Approximately ) Location - 4th Floor, The Enclave, House of Sow, 17/1F, Alipore Rd, Kolkata, West Bengal 700027 https://maps.app.goo.gl/qisqHQ91WWX3ZMh88 Ambiance & Service - The vibe of the cafe is calm. It is a very aesthetically pleasing cafe with some white walls and some soft lighting, some plants here and there giving a very nature type touch to it. Comfortable seating arrangement with some wooden table and chairs with well cushioned chairs too. All the attendants were polite, humble and very quick to respond. Although the food preparation and service was bit slow. What I had ? *Drinks* Ginger Rocksalt Rs 225 A mocktail made for your health, the mix of ginger and rock salt to relief and sooth your throat. Having that jaljeera type touch made it more refreshing to drink. Berry Burlesque Rs 225 A mocktail mix of berries, which was super refreshing and tasty. *Salad* Beetroot Quinoa Salad - Rs 425 Seasoned quinoa with roasted beetroot, pumpkin seeds, goat cheese and rocket leaves. Honestly, I did not find it to be very fascinating. I found it to be a bit bland as the flavour should be completely infused in a dish, but while having this salad you will only get that flavour punch uf you have it with the cheese part. *Appertizer* Aglio Olio Dumplings Rs 375 Nothing much fancy about the dish, but the presentation and the new touch was fantastic. I really loved the aglio olio touch to my favourite dumplings, I mean no-one could have imagined we can add this sauteing in olive oil and garlic touch to our such a simple dish, momo or dumplings as you call it. I really loved the flavours and could keep on having it Ricotta Cigars Rs 325 Crunchy cigars filled with spinach and ricotta cheese mix, served with a tomato relish. Bang on presentation, just made me fall in love with it So I loved these super thin and crunchy cigars filled with the spinach and cheese mix. It was so delicious and light to have this filling in the cigar. But the tomato dip was super bland, it genuinely lacked any sort of flavours. It was like the chef forgot to add any seasoning to it. To be too harsh it was just tasting like a normal tomatoe puree. Samosa Puff Rs 325 Having a puff base topped with samosa type potatoes filling and garnished with melted cheese some leaves, onion ring and a mint based dip. Again an amazing presentation, but lacked in taste. I mean I did love the concept of having this samosa filling on top of a puff and adding cheese and dip on top, but the dish became salty. The combination of cheese and the dip on top made it a bit salty and ruined the actual taste of the dish. I really appreciate the new innovative presentable touch to it. *Mains* Insalata Pizza Rs 450 Grilled veggies, olive tapenade ( a paste made with olives, anchovies, olive oil, capers and some herbs and garlic ) with a balsamic sauce drizzle on homemade pizza base. Really loved the pizza, the cheese pull was superb and the combination of tapenade and balsamic drizzle really gave the pizza a sour twist which was so likeable. We really repeated it Chatuchak Noodle Bowl Rs 445 Yellow noodles with a traditional thai basil vegetables cooked in tangy coconut milk. Man O Man, my favourite from the whole menu. I just wrnt nuts after having this and I ended up eating a full bowl of this. I so loved the coconut milk base, it reminded me of khowsuey and thai curry. It was super filling to have and as the dish got a bit cold and the flavours settled it became a little sweet and the gravy thickened. You will definitely love having this bowl of sweetness with love..!! Ravioli Limone Rs 475 Pasta sheets stuffed with broccoli and ricotta cheese with a zesty lemon garlic sauce. Sad to say, but I really did not enjoy having this dish. I really felt empty and feeling less after having this dish, the zesty garlic sauce. I don't even know how can someone like that sauce The ravioli really needed some good stuffing, it felt like the stuffing was very less. Ema Datshi With Red Rice Rs 450 A spicy and cheesy bell peppers stew served with red rice. The national dish of Bhutan, I was and still am skeptical about having this dish. The pepper and cheese stew was on a bit sweeter side, which is supposed to be on a bit of spicy side. I just loved the red rice, it was something new to me and would definitely love to try this rice. I would have loved the stew to be a bit more thick as a thicker version would go perfect with rice. Overall the taste was okish. Now I definitely want to try the authentic version of the dish. *Dessert* Toffee Walnut Rs 395 Chocolate coated and caramelised walnuts served with a scoop of ice cream on top. To be really honest, it was just not worth the price. I am definitely not ready to pay Rs 395 for this. Nothing very fancy or amazing about this dish. It was just something on the menu, and it is something I am definitely not repeating to order. Date Jaggery Cake Rs 250 A date and jaggery flavoured inhouse baked caked served with ice-cream and drizzled sauce. Keeping in mind the price factor it was an okish dish, it was flavourful and good to taste, lovely presentation. One liner summary will be, the place is good but a bit pricy. Genuinely superb presentation of food showcased by the chef, but it is just not enough to quote such high pricing of the dishes.
