I booked a table at Vantage Bank Bar, Hilton Chennai, through Swiggy Dineout with a paid reservation that promised a discount. Unfortunately, the experience was far from smooth. Not only did the restaurant refuse to honor the discount, but the bar manager, Mr. Deepak, was unaware of Swiggy's terms and conditions and asked me to show the offer details on my phone. Even after showing the information, they still declined the discount, saying they were “in talks with Swiggy” and claiming it wasn’t valid at their location. What would atleast have been better was if Mr. Deepak knew the terms and conditions on his own. But merely brushed us aside stating it is your problem with Swiggy and asking me to take it up with Swiggy. This was not even a free reservation, it was a exclusive paid reservation. Its a pity that establishments like The HIlton platforms like Swiggy to attract customers only to back out on their promises, which feels misleading. It’s disappointing to see well-regarded establishments like the Hilton involved in such issues, as it creates a poor impression and diminishes trust in dining platforms. I would advise potential diners to confirm directly with the venue to avoid similar experiences. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
