We went to Vembanad for lunch primarily because I had great memories of the food here when I last visited Bangalore 12 years back. True to form, the food did not disappoint. We were greeted warmly by Yashaswini, who also did a fantastic job attending to us. Manish worked alongside her, and together they ensured a fantastic experience for us. Our sincerest compliments to the chef and his team as well, for food that was truly outstanding!

Visited Vembanad on 16th April for dinner. We were a group of 9 and being a weekday the restaurant wasn't crowded. We chose this place since it offers an authentic Kerala fare. We ordered a wide range of dishes, from soups, starters, drinks to main course. The standout dishes were kappa, appam, mutton stew, seafood-drumstick soup, kallushappu meenkari, fish fingers, karimeen pollichath and Jumbo prawns grill. Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed the session. The beer sampler and their own gin - Malhar classic dry - turned out to be great hits. The only disappointments were vazhakoombu cutlet and coconut souffle. If something could beat the food, it was the service by Manish and Alphonsa. They made sure everyone got what they wanted.
