Having seen Salem Marthoma Church, it's time to have a rest at this restaurant. The Vegetarian cuisine is nice at NEW VASANTHAVIHAR. Most guests recommend trying tasty sambar, vada and masala dosa. Pancakes that this place serves are good. A lot of visitors order great coffee, tea or juice.

If you're craving authentic South Indian flavors, New Vasanthavihar is a good spot on MG Road. The meals are fresh, flavorful, especially the sambar and Kootu Curry which are hits right cords on taste buds. Their veg thali is a must-try for a wholesome experience if you prefer south indian style lunch. However, the place does have its downsides. Parking is a challenge and tough for car parking. Bikes can still make a parking spot. Seating area is quite limited, which can make peak hours feel cramped. Tables can't accommodate more than 4 people hence will be difficult for larger group. The menu leans heavily toward traditional South Indian flavors, so options are limited if you're looking for variety. Still, for a quick, tasty south Indian food fest, it’s a great choice.
