When you come to Alappuzha, it is a good place to have food in the afternoon. There are many fish items. We can directly select and order. It was very tasty. As the name suggests, the resturant is designed like a houseboat inside and out Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Karimeen Ilayil Pollichath Karimeen Fried in the Banana Leaf, Kakka Fry, Kallappam Kappa and Prawns Roast, Fish Meal Sides, Beef Roast, Fish Curry

Had a wonderful lunch at Vanjiveedu followed by a trip down the river on their speed boat. Their prawns roast was mouthwatering. Tried lobsters for the first time. Didn’t disappoint. Karimeen and Varal pollichath was tasty. The best part was we could visit the kitchen and choose the items . Since we had small kids they made the preparations less spicy . Its my 7th time visit to vanchiveedu restaurant. The food served here is very very very tasty and without any preservatives or chemicals. My family likes their food very much. The service is just awsome. All the staffs are very friendly especially the owner and their family. Their karimeen and neymeen(Kingfish) special dish which is served in a mudpot with a bananaleaf having their own special recipie with a sweet taste is exceptional. Very higienic and Air-conditioned atmosphere and here there is a option to visit their kitchen freely. The fish dishes are very fish and have reasonable prices only compared to others. We will visit again and again and again.
