The Daspalla was once a well renowned and respected place for food and stay where the standards were as luxurious and grand as the palaces themselves. I have so many vivid memories during my childhood enjoy the place. Now they lost the charm where the food is no longer delicious and service is no longer the charming way it was. We visited the place for a family lunch on ugadhi. We ordered special thali. The food this time was Ok which has a lot of room for improvement. May be I cannot ask for more as they have to cater for huge crowds which gets almost impossible sometimes. But believe they’re designed for over capacity at times! Anyways the supervising staff were courteous with wit. The serving staff were humble and pleasing. Thanks to Mr. Govind for wonderful service. Can visit the place for sumptuous thali. Had heard a lot about Dasphala Vaisakhi but the worst experience today. We went there for dinner at 8.15 or so with a train to board at 10 pm. We ordered spaghetti and pasta from their menu as my 8 year old son likes it a lot. They did not supply for 45 mins and nor bothered to update and provide alternatives. They were happy to keep a child hungry and waiting than go talk to the customer an unavoidable problem they were trying to ignore. When we started becoming impatient- they started asking sorry and what else can they provide by which time we were already getting late for the train also lost patience. We walked out without food with a hungry child after waiting 45 mins. Pathetic customer service. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹200–400
