Such a sheer indulgence to the Biryani genre of the gastronomy! Im a vegetarian and my entire family lovvvs the Veg. Biryani here! Never herd of a biryani having fried bread cubes shyfully playing hide and seek in the rice. Oh such a pleasure that even the pockets find it comfortable! Yes the biryani is just priced at Rs.100 and three of my family members (all adults) enjoy it...nah...relish it! Alkapuri is a glorious vintage food restaurant and the taste of the biryani with gravy and fresh lemon squeezed into it has been more like the sunday special for my family since a few decades! Do not miss this infamous biryani if you visit Vizag! Caution: It can be a bit spicy for sober eaters. I herd the non veg. variety tasts amazing too! Truly such restaurants have to be supported because they form the lifeline and pulse of the food culture of Visakhapatnam and they have been functional through generations together! Enjoy!
