Disappointing Experience at TROOH - Soulful Indulgence (Kalyani Nagar) Visited this place recently, and unfortunately, it was a huge letdown on multiple fronts. Being someone who’s dined at several well-known places across Pune, Bangalore, and even internationally, I had certain basic expectations—but TROOH completely missed the mark. First, the staff's attitude was unnecessarily rigid and awkward. I was in the middle of a conversation and happened to place my wine glass on the table (not the placemat), and the waiter immediately interrupted to instruct me to move it. This kind of nitpicking might be expected at a luxury hotel like the Taj, but not at a mid-tier restaurant in Pune that primarily caters to the working IT crowd. Let's be real. Second, the food was absolutely underwhelming—far from "soulful indulgence." No one was attentive enough to serve properly, and yet, I wouldn’t be surprised if service charges magically show up on the bill. The staff were constantly circling our table, not to help, but just loitering around in a way that felt intrusive and uncomfortable. Frankly, it felt like the staff assumed we didn’t "belong" there—which is ironic considering places like Toit or Elephant & Co. in Kalyani Nagar offer far better experiences without the pretentiousness. I’ve enjoyed fine dining in many international location, where true hospitality is about warmth and elegance—not enforcing random rules with a cold attitude. TROOH has a long way to go if it wants to match even basic standards of professionalism. Would not recommend. Save your time and money and head elsewhere. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
