I had an unforgettable experience at Toran Dining Hall in Ahmedabad! A classic Gujarati vegetarian thali spot, this place has been serving authentic flavors since 1991. The thali includes 11-12 items like seasonal sabji, chapati, bhakhri, puri, farsan, dal, kadi, rice, khichdi, two types of sweets, papad, salad, and buttermilk—always flowing and refilled. The food is rich in taste, with a subtle sweetness in the sabjis, making it a unique experience. The ambiance is simple but inviting, with great lighting and wall paintings, and the service is top-notch, with servers ready to serve at all times. Though the space is limited and you might need to wait, especially on weekends, it’s definitely worth it. The pricing is reasonable for the quality and variety served. My family has long been enthusiasts of Toran Gujarati Thali, and we decided to revisit this establishment for lunch on July 7, 2024, with a group of fifteen. Unfortunately, all of us experienced severe stomach issues the following day, July 8, 2024. All were suffering from chronic diarrhoea and stomach cramps
