Theobroma, You Had ONE Job! I ordered a cake from Theobroma, only because they offer customization. Your website clearly states that customization is available, which, in your case, only means writing a name on the cake—not rocket science, right? That’s literally all I asked for. I even went the extra mile to confirm over the phone that the name would be written on the cake itself. Your team assured me it would be done. And yet, when I opened the box, instead of seeing the name beautifully written on the cake, I found a piece of paper with the name stuck on the box. Really? If I wanted a cake with a label, I could’ve just written it myself on a Post-it. Or better yet, ordered from anywhere else. Theobroma is a well-known brand, and yet, you managed to mess up something as simple as writing a name on a cake—the only customization you actually offer! This was for a special occasion, and your version of “customization” has completely ruined the experience. When I called them to ask for a replacement, they flat-out denied my request and instead asked me to leave feedback. Well, here it is! To be fair, the cake tasted good, but the service and customization (their customization means only writing a name on the cake) were VERY, VERY bad. If you are looking for “customization” that involves office supplies instead of icing, Theobroma is your place. Otherwise, just go elsewhere. Not worth the money.
