This is the best place near Eglise de Notre Dame des Anges. If you never turned out to try Chinese and Sichuan cuisines, get your chance at this restaurant. Tasty fried chicken, fried prawns and fried fish are the tastiest dishes. Cooks at The South Indian Kitchen do their best to provide visitors with good payasam.

Very poor management. No proper communication among the staffs and table allocations are worse. They are totally money minded, with zero focus on customer service. We(11 members) waited for more than an hour just to sit cramped in a 6 members table while the staffs simply play blame-game instead of owning and serving the customers. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

If you want to eat a good South Indian non-veg meal in pondi, don’t even think about it and just head to the South Indian kitchen. We had actually set out to eat at Kamatchi which is on the same road but when I checked reviews the South Indian kitchen had much better reviews so we walked into this place, and man was it a good decision. Definitely ask for recommendations from the friendly staff here, we had the special fish porichadu, mutton madras masala with parotha which were both EXCELLENT!!! Both the fish and mutton meat were tender and packed with flavour. We loved it so much that we went a 2nd time in 2 days. We did end up eating at kamatchi eventually and were so disappointed, it’s no where close to the flavours that this place delivers.
