I love the lounges at all of the luxury Taj properties. There’s always this old school character and charm to them. Simply beautiful!Found myself here in the beginning of Dec last year when the Christmas vibrancy was in full swing. Not a dull nook or corner in sight.Anyway, I got myself a table with a charging socket near the Promenade Lounge’s display counter.I wanted a drink but they didn’t serve alcohol in the lobby. So I just ordered a couple of things to eat.1. Foxtail Millet and Avocado Salad - 4/5, refreshingly healthy and delish.2. Veg Sandwich - I would rate this in negative if it was possible. Look at the picture I’ve attached here and tell me how can a lousy and poorly made sandwich like this be sold for ₹875++. It’s preposterous! Simply the ugliest and horribly made sandwich I’ve ever been served in my life - at an ICONIC Taj property too! There was no effort put into this as you can see!

Promenade Lounge in Taj Bengal is really a luxurious place to relax and focus. It has a unique rustic Kolkata theme intertwined.. It's also an art cafe sort of, so go ahead, read the review. Let's have a review : Food : 3/5 You would expect better tasting food if it's hosted inside Taj. But was disappointed with that. Even if it's a cafe, I would not recomend anything else except coffee ir tea from here... No point in spending so much over food that's doesn't taste good. As of price, it's standard to any 5 star place. Ambience : 5/5 Its hosted in Taj.. So obviously the ambience is all you are paying for. It's quite and perfect for silence lovers. It's a great place to sit back and relax, enjoy your work, immerse in thoughts and be creative. Being an artist myself, I found it so beautiful. You can host your artwork here and sell them. Service : 5/5 Top notch service hands down. Such well behaved people and beautifully minded etiquettes. This is what I was expecting and was not disappointed. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
