We visited The Lounge Cafe by Raw Squeezed in March 2023. The interiors are done very well with pictures, books and lighting. Outside there is a tea and snack shop which is quite popular and the cafe inside was empty when we went. There were specials written on the table and a small menu was provided. It was surprising that the menu did not contain any hot or cold beverages inspite of it being a cafe run by Raw Squeezed. We tried the beef burger, french fries, beef vattichathu, and pepper chicken along with appam and parotta. While there is a live counter for appam, still the appam was served cold. The beef vattichathu was low on salt , rest of the items were good. The two waiters in the lounge knew nothing about the dishes being served, even simple things like if they are a gravy or fry. We asked about the iftaar special which was mentioned, but the staff knew nothing about it. Even the juice menu wasn't given and we had to ask about the availability. The staff at the tea shop outside was far more responsible and responsive, and knew more about the items in the menu. A lot of work needs to be done with respect to staff training and the menus. A paper menu with very few items was not a good experience.
