After visiting Mahanirban Math, you can look over the menu at this restaurant. It's easy to find The Food Storey due to the convenient location. Google gives it 4.4 so you can choose this place to spend a good time here.
This place is seriously underrated and is a MUST-VISIT for anyone who enjoys actual good food. Every single dish I have tried is flavourful and absolutely exquisite. I honestly cannot pick a favourite item off the menu because all of them are irresistibly delicious. The ambience and the service are first-class as well. Dining in at this cafe is truly a beautiful experience. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Pork Ribs, Mixed Fried Rice with Chilly Garlic Honey Chicken, Chicken Cheese Balls, Chicken Steak and Mushroom Sauce, Pan Fried Chilli Pork, Chicken Risotto, Baked Prawns, Pan Fried Fish
I'd been to Cafe 23 (their earlier avataar, the other side of Lansdowne Road) and I'd loved the food there. So I visited The Food Storey with the expectation of another good experience.
The intention was to enjoy my meal as opposed to random sampling ... and I was dining solo, so Prawn Cocktail and Roast Pork Rib Chops it was. The prawn cocktail was flavourful with soft prawns (as opposed to rubbery - a common problem with many eateries) in a perky sauce that got my attention. I found myself scraping remnants of sauce from the dish before I controlled myself, lest the waiter laugh at my antics.
The pork chops that followed was tender and well marinated. I temporarily forgot the starter and delved into the meat with enthusiasm. The sauce thankfully did not overpower the taste of the meat and I wolfed the entire portion without letup. I have to mention the portion is generous and with no help as I was dining alone, I chose to forgo the third course (dessert) as I was 'filled to my gills' ...
I was not disappointed with my visit in the least. The all white ambience is pleasing to the eye and the owner's charming sister who's chatty presence and watchful eye ensured a solo table did not lack attention. Certainly its a restaurant to return to.
