Great Ambience & Coffee, but Kitchen Consistency Needs Work Overall Rating: We visited The Flour Works in Baner with high expectations after seeing the photos and positive buzz. Overall, it’s a premium space with a lovely structure and a great vibe in a nice locality. The valet experience was smooth and professional right from the start. The Highlights: Beverages: The Cinnamon and Caramel Cold Brew was standout—really well-made. The Cookies and Cream Milkshake was also a hit but it had a bread raste according to my daughter.. Sides: The Peri Peri Potato Wedges were excellent. Presentation: All the dishes, including the Cajun Spiced Grilled Chicken and the Spicy BBQ Sandwich (the sauce was nice but it didn't taste like bbq) , were presented beautifully. The Critique: I ordered the Crispy Chicken Leg Burger (455), and while the chicken itself was fresh and high quality, I had a disappointing experience with a piece of avocado inside that tasted and smelled off. It immediately threw off the palate. Additionally, the bun was quite crumbly. My main feedback, however, is regarding the service recovery. When I pointed out the issue, the staff took the plate back but returned with a defensive stance, claiming the kitchen found nothing wrong. While they did offer a replacement, the "customer simply didn't like it and is wrong about the off smell" undertone felt insensitive. At this price point, you expect meticulous ingredient checking and accountability rather than being made to feel like you're imagining things. My daughter also mentioned the sweet corn in her meal had a slightly "off" taste. And none of the hot meals came to the table hot. They were all served at room temperature. Verdict:. The menu is exhaustive and the coffee is top-tier. Service can be a bit on the slower, average side, but the setting is undeniably nice. I’m giving it a 4-star rating because the potential is clearly there, but the kitchen needs to be more discerning with freshness and the floor staff needs to work on handling feedback with more empathy.
