Went to mumbai 6 months ago. Came across this place via google I kid you not, best tikkas I’ve ever had. Chef Kunal was so friendly, he was so so so accommodating, he briefly explained the ingredients to us and even helped us in deciding the spice level we should have. Couldn’t come to mumbai in the past 6 months but I’ve been craving the tikkas so much lately that I wanted to give an appreciation post for hum. Oh my God! What was that food which I tried recently in The Bombay curry. I recently visited The Bombay curry in Khar , Mumbai. It is a small restaurant and it may be not that asthetic for some people but the food is amazing. The food was on point and had a unique taste to it . I am also a home cook and I also know the ingredients and the flavours as me and my mom cooks at home usually but there was something different than the other restaurants which I ever visited in my whole life. I ordered Lucknowi Gosht biryani and Chicken Irani tikka with Angara Chicken tikka. When I was ordering food I was a bit doubtful that weather that Irani tikka will be less on spice or sweet but I am happy to tell that it was very flavourful and I was not expecting those amazing flavours. That doesn't mean that the Angara tikka was not good . It was equally good and flavourful and it was sooo juicy and the chicken was also very fresh and excellent in quality. It was one of the best food I have ever tried in my life and it doesn't matter that how many times I am saying 'One of the best food in my life' this line. But wait there is more to tell cause the main show stopper was their Lucknowi Gosht Dum Biryani. The biryani was well cooked and it had a good Smokey flavour and the meat was excellent as it well cooked but not fall apart from bone which I liked the most because that's how it should be 'Soft and cooked but not fall apart from bone'. Apart from Food the service was excellent and very good. Chef Kunal guided us very nicely and telling us the best choice we should get according to our likings. The waiting time for Food was sufficient ( As it should ) but I must it was all worth it. If you are in Khar anytime,You must try this place and the best thing is that you don't need Google maps to locate just go to platform no. 1 in Khar road and the aroma will take you to the restaurant.
