Dear Yael,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly value your perspective, especially as someone who appreciates animals. We’d like to clarify that while we are a pet-friendly property and genuinely care for animals, not all our guests are comfortable with stray dogs around the entrance or in common areas. The dogs you noticed are actually pets of the opposite bungalow. Please know that out of compassion we also keep food for them at the back of our property. They often chase the cats we’ve rescued and begin staying around the property, sometimes entering the poolside and guest zones. Since we also host events, we have to be mindful of all our guests—many of whom may not be as pet-friendly—so the dogs are guided away to the back side, never with the intention to harm, but to create a balanced environment for everyone. Please know that we take our responsibility toward animals seriously. In fact, we currently foster over 23 animals at our Waksai property near Lonavala—including **dogs, cats, hens, and injured birds**—and we ensure they are cared for with love and commitment. Our staff is regularly sensitized to handle such situations thoughtfully, but we acknowledge that in this case, it could have been managed more delicately. We’re grateful for your feedback and will use it to reinforce our values even more strongly within the team. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.Warm regards,The Bark - An Art Resort
