If you feel hungry after visiting Prakasam Salai, have a meal at this restaurant. Offering tasty chicken biryani, chicken tenders and prawns is the hallmark of The Ambur Canteen. Great lemonade gets positive reviews.

This place is recommended for the cool staff. The fine service is something these restaurateurs care about. Also, guests recommend this spot because of average prices. The peaceful atmosphere may make you want to stay here for a bit longer than you've originally planned. But this restaurant hasn't received a high rating from Google users.

Honestly shocked to see so many negative reviews. My husband and I went just a few days ago, and loved the food. While the place is not too big, and we had to wait 10 minutes to get a table - the food felt very homely, like a warm hug. We've been recommending the place to our friends and family. We had the parotta, mutton curry soru and Irani chai. It was so good!

Ambur Canteen – A Must-Visit for Mutton Lovers! OMG! It’s been 8 hours since I visited The Ambur Canteen and despite washing my hands multiple times, the aroma of the food still lingers—it’s that good! I’ve tried many restaurants, but the mutton here is next-level—juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. I ordered their Mutton Biryani (10/10)—the meat was so well blended with the rice, every bite was packed with flavor. The star of the show, though, was the Mutton Bada Gosht (another 10/10)—an absolute must-try! I was literally licking my fingers. I also tried their Semita Idiyappam, which had a unique buttery aroma and soft texture—something different and delightful 10/10 To top it all off, their chai (tea) was top notch—rich, flavorful, and a perfect ending to the meal. Highly recommend Ambur Canteen if you're a mutton lover or just someone looking for unforgettable flavors!
