I visited that Mallu joint with my family this Saturday afternoon. We ordered Malabar mutton biryani, beef gravy, some chicken gravy, appam, chicken stew, appam with cream, tender coconut ice cream, and payasam. I wouldn’t say it’s a great place for meat lovers, as the quantity was not up to the mark and the mutton pieces were quite bony. However, the Malabar parottas, appam, chicken stew, and desserts were good. I don’t find anything particularly noteworthy about that place. If you are a meat lover, you may be disappointed. I am not sure if I would visit it again. I feel that restaurants of that standard should not compromise on portion size. Food was amazing. Especially the Seer Fish Curry with boiled rice combination was too good. They can add prawns ghee roast or prawns fry and all in the menu because in prawns only 2 dry starters were available. Overall we had a perfect meal. We also did try squid chilli and parota that was also pretty good. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fish

Noted your suggestion — and just to share, we already have Kandhari Prawns (sautéed) and Tawa Grilled Prawns on our menu, both non-fried options that pair beautifully with rice or parotta. Waste of Money!! We have ordered Thalassery mutton briyani,Achayathi kozhi curry and 4 Malabar Parottas. Briyani is not hot and fresh. Parotta is not like Malabar parotta, It's oily and not flaky. Overall food is below average for this price. Considering the seating capacity, service is very poor. First of all, plates are placed only after the food arrived. We have asked for the hot water at the beginning of the order and we have to intimate him again where they have given water only after we finished the food. And the served water is of food particles like parotta (it's not the cumin which it is supposed to be). They have added *Service Charge 5%* in total amount of the bill. I have noticed after paid the bill. He told if you ask before paying the bill we can cancel that amount. They are looting Money from the us by using unawareness of many customers. Most of them will not ask as they hesitate for 5% but everyone needs to question their rights if they want to. When there is no proper service, why do you need to add the service charge without notifying us and answer irresponsibly. Tips are the one we need to decide and give depending on the service, not in this manner. "Service is varying between customers" which is unacceptable.
