I visited that Mallu joint with my family this Saturday afternoon. We ordered Malabar mutton biryani, beef gravy, some chicken gravy, appam, chicken stew, appam with cream, tender coconut ice cream, and payasam. I wouldn’t say it’s a great place for meat lovers, as the quantity was not up to the mark and the mutton pieces were quite bony. However, the Malabar parottas, appam, chicken stew, and desserts were good. I don’t find anything particularly noteworthy about that place. If you are a meat lover, you may be disappointed. I am not sure if I would visit it again. I feel that restaurants of that standard should not compromise on portion size.
