This is located in tajganj which is on the road outside Taj Mahal. The ambience of the restaurant is quite good as compared to the other restaurants nearby. We ordered veg biryani, Dal fry, kadhai paneer, plain naan and raita.
Veg biryani, kadhai paneer and raita were really disappointing with bland rice and boiled veggies in biryani, in kadhai paneer oil paneer and the diluted gravy were not together at all and the raita was like a few drops of curd dropped in water.
The only good thing was naan and Dal fry was satisfactory.. Overall 3/5
Firstly, don't expect a clean restaurant. It's a little dirty, they have remnants of food scattered over tables which they haven't bothered fully cleaning. Chairs are uncomfortable and cheap. As for the food, the roti's that you get will either not be fully cooked or will be burnt (burnt food is bad for the stomach). Same with parathas. Even the curry's they serve have burnt particles in them. The chicken they serve is not fully cooked. Feels like chewing gum. The burnt and uncooked nature of food is very taxing on the stomach. The taste of the dishes is the only good part. Ordinarily, it should be left to the customer to decide if the food is good or not. Here, the waiters go around promising very good food, and you end up with poor quality food of very less quantity for the price you pay. An additional distasteful culture in this restaurant is that the waiters don't expect you to give them a tip. They add the tip to the bill. So you end up paying 10% of your bill as a tip, even if you did not like the service or were unable to eat the food because it was not fully cooked. The washbasin was clogged up, full of dirty water and food particles when I visited. Had a peek at their kitchen. An extremely small dungeon like place. They don't really care about the food they serve. They don't care about your experience. Although they do ask and are rather polite.
