Following up on my earlier review of the Taj Bangalore where I noted that the dining experience needed improvement, I wanted to specifically highlight our lunch at Tamarind. To be fair, the food itself was absolutely great and we had no complaints about the meal. However, the restaurant staff significantly detracted from the experience. While the Taj Bangalore is incredibly convenient for travelers being just a short, easy walk from the domestic terminal (or a quick free shuttle/500 INR hotel pickup away if you land at the international side) and the rooms are perfectly okay, the hospitality at the restaurant definitely needs to be addressed, specifically at Tamarind. The dining staff could really use some comprehensive training in basic manners; during our meal, they kept staring and giggling, which made us feel highly uncomfortable. It is a stellar location for a transit stay, but the unprofessional behavior at Tamarind really overshadowed the great food and the Taj experience. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹1,800–2,000
