Taj Hotel - Dal Mandi , Varanasi Varanasi is not limited to vegetarian food only. This time I went to Varanasi and found a non-veg restaurant called Taj Hotel in the Dal Mandi area. A very simple looking non air-conditioned restaurant in the middle of the market. Here we had chicken tikka kebab, mutton stew along with rumali roti. This mutton stew was delicious. I had eaten such a good mutton gravy item earlier at Al Jawahar restaurant in Delhi, it was their mutton Quorma and then the taste of this mutton stew here at Taj Hotel will be remembered for a long time. One plate of mutton stew (300/-) contains 4 of very soft meat pieces and the gravy was very soulful. Chicken tikka (5 pieces) is quite good in taste but not something to remember for a long time. The price is very affordable. Our total bill was 437/-. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Mutton Stew Rumali Roti
