Our visit to DAKSHIN KASHI - The All Day Dining Restaurant in Varanasi, India, turned out to be a delightful surprise and a much-needed respite after a long day of exploring the ghats. After a bit of quick Google searching for table service restaurants with great reviews near our location, we stumbled upon this hidden gem, and it didn't disappoint. As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted by a clean and charming ambiance that provided a welcome escape from the bustling streets of Varanasi. The owner/manager and the staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. Despite being tucked away on a side street off a busy road, once inside the restaurant, the noise and rush of the outside world seemed to vanish, creating a peaceful oasis. Seeking recommendations, we turned to the owner/manager for his expert advice on what to order. His suggestion was the Kadhai Paneer, and we paired it with our favorite, Bhutara bread. Let me tell you, his recommendation was nothing short of fantastic. The Kadhai Paneer was an absolute delight, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Paired with the Bhutara bread, it was a match made in culinary heaven and easily one of our favorite meals during our time in Varanasi.
