great ambience. could have been better supported with real north indian food. the food here serves best as a milder version of northern cuisine, spice lovers be cautious as even the spiciest of suggestions could end on a sweeter side.

We recently dined at Taftoon Bar and Kitchen, and our experience was a culinary journey through India's diverse flavors. While some dishes shone brighter than others, the overall experience was enjoyable. The starters set the tone, with the Bharwan Mushroom being a highlight – its earthy flavors and tender texture left us wanting more. The Sondhey Alu Poori was decent, though it could benefit from an extra kick of spice. The main course was where Taftoon truly excelled. The Dum Potoler Dolma, a traditional Bengali dish, was rich and flavorful, with each bite a testament to the chef's skill. The Tamatar Chaman, a Kashmiri paneer dish, boasted incredibly soft paneer, though the flavor was somewhat subdued. The bread selection was impressive, with both the Lachha Paratha and Girda being perfectly cooked and delicious. To accompany our meal, we tried two cocktails. The Nothing Cheesy was a revelation – light, flavorful, and refreshing. Unfortunately, the Berry Me was a bit too bitter for our taste. Overall, Taftoon Bar and Kitchen is a great spot for those seeking a culinary journey through India's diverse regions. While some dishes need fine-tuning, the restaurant's commitment to using high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques shines through.
