This is the greatest place near Fanaswadi Temple. Here, you can discover the recipes and ingredients of the Indian cuisine. You are offered to eat nicely cooked fried seafood, fried fish and fried crabs. The recipe for success of this restaurant is its good pancakes and tasty curry dessert. Based on the guests' opinions, waiters serve good bitter. Great lemonade is the most popular drinks of Sion Lunch Home.

The convenient location of this place makes it easy to reach by any transport. The terrific staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. The nice service is something these restaurateurs care about. Prices at this spot claim to be reasonable. The beautiful decor and calm ambiance let clients feel relaxed here. If you’re a seafood lover looking for authentic Mangalorean-style delicacies in Mumbai, Sion Lunch Home is the place to be. Located just a five-minute walk from Sion railway station, this eatery has been my go-to spot for the past two years, and I can confidently say it never disappoints. Ambience & Seating The place is clean and well-maintained, but it doesn’t have a very large seating capacity. Whether you opt for the AC or non-AC section, expect a waiting time—sometimes as long as 40 minutes to an hour. Due to its immense popularity, the restaurant does not accept reservations, so it’s always bustling with seafood enthusiasts. Food & Specialties The main reason for the crowd? The exceptional seafood, prepared in true Mangalorean style. I highly recommend trying their fish thalis and fish fries, which are consistently fresh and flavorful. Must-Try Dishes: Prawns Fry – Crispy, well-spiced, and utterly delicious. Squid Fry – Perfectly cooked and packed with coastal flavors. Bombil Fry – A Mumbai favorite that’s crispy on the outside, soft inside. Pomfret Thali – A full-fledged meal featuring succulent pomfret fish. Surmai Thali – A classic favorite for those who love kingfish. Neer Dosa – Light, fluffy and an excellent companion to their flavorful gravies. Mutton Sukka – My personal favorite; the spice blend is simply spot-on. Fish Platters: A Family Favorite If you’re visiting with family, the fish platters are a must-try. They offer a great variety and are perfect for sharing, ensuring you get to taste a bit of everything. Final Verdict Despite the long waiting time, the experience at Sion Lunch Home is always worth it. The food quality, authentic preparation, and reasonable prices make it one of the best places in Mumbai for seafood lovers. If you enjoy coastal cuisine, this spot should be at the top of your list! Went to Sion Lunch Home after ages, as it used to be our go-to spot for weekend family dinners back in the day. The place still feels the same, bringing back a lot of memories. But honestly, the food quality has gone down a lot. The seafood we ordered wasn’t fresh and didn’t seem properly cleaned. It’s disappointing to see such a well-loved place lose its old charm and standards. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

The restaurant usually finds us waiting for 10-15 mins in the evenings due to slight lack of space. However the quality of food compensates it all. This is my go to place for Non veg cravings. If you haven't tried stuff like Kori Roti with Chicken, Fried Bombil, Fried Surmai or their butter chicken, I would surely recommend to try it on your next visit. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Surmai Fried Fish Thali Chili, Prawns Koliwada, Kori Rotti, Prawns Masala, Chicken Ghee Roast Vegetarian options: Veg thali is quite filling and good, but limited options for vegetarians
