I had a very disappointing experience at Swan recently. We had booked a table in advance and even paid the cover charges. However, when we arrived barely 10 minutes later we were told that a private party was going on and we were not allowed to sit or have food.My question is: why take reservations and payments if customers are not going to be allowed in? The staff’s attitude was unhelpful and dismissive, refusing to arrange even a single table for us. All tables had been moved outside to accommodate the private event, and no effort was made to find a solution for us.If Swan is a public restaurant, why is there always a private party taking over the space? And if such events are planned, why not close reservations for that date instead of misleading customers?
