Food was so sub standard compared to the cost. Tacos were just served with mayo and coleslaw, where were the other other accomplishments? Everything tasted very mediocre and the portions were tiny.Waiters not well trained, struggling explain the menu or even understand properly. The ambience and set up were good, though I personally don't like that loud music. There's a lot of potential though, i hope the founders work the taste and staff training.
New Delhi Gets a Slice of San Francisco at The Mission Bay, Eldeco Centre Tucked away in the heart of South Delhi, a new culinary gem has opened its doors — The Mission Bay, a San Francisco-themed restaurant that invites diners to "taste the spirit of San Francisco" without leaving the capital. Located in the vibrant Eldeco Centre, this unique spot is the brainchild of Puja Sahu, the celebrated restaurateur behind The Potbelly Bihari Kitchen. Inspired by her meandering journeys through San Francisco, Napa Valley, Sonoma, and Healdsburg, Puja set out to recreate the fresh, layered flavors and relaxed vibes of the Californian coast. To bring her vision to life, she collaborated with some serious talent from the Bay Area, including Chef Adam Timney of Starbelly and Sous Chef Dustin Vorkoeper, with beverage curation by West Bev. A Global Table with California Soul The Mission Bay's menu is a beautiful fusion of flavors, much like the melting pot of cultures in the Bay Area itself. Think Japanese-style bar bites, Mediterranean freshness, Korean zest, and Mexican boldness, all reinterpreted with a Californian sensibility. Here's what I tried: Chicken Karaage. Crispy, juicy, and packed with umami — this Japanese-style fried chicken is elevated with a bold gochujang aioli and a squeeze of lemon. A punchy start to the meal. Grilled Prawns. A standout dish. The prawns are smoky and succulent, beautifully paired with a leek parsley sauce, tangy pickled peppers, and a delicate fennel garnish. The side of flatbread brings it all together. Butternut Pistou Rigatoni Pasta. Comfort food, Californian style. Rich butternut squash pistou, shimeji mushrooms, Parmesan and Gouda, and a gentle kick from chili crunch make this a pasta dish worth returning for. Smoky Pepper Twist. A hearty flatbread featuring chicken sausage, a flavorful pepper tapenade, smoked Gouda, and fresh pea shoots. It’s smoky, savory, and deeply satisfying. Apple Berry Crumble The perfect end to a hearty meal. Tart berries and warm apples tucked under a golden crumble topping — nostalgic, homey, and delightfully Californian. Sip the Bay The Mission Bay’s bar program is no less impressive, blending inventive flavors with a playful nod to the Golden State. Mocktail: Vesuvio’s Window Crafted with hop syrup, mandarin, saffron water, citrus, and tonic, this bright and fragrant drink is a refreshing homage to San Francisco’s famous literary bar scene. Cocktail: Classic Picante A sharp, refreshing, and slightly bitter sipper that brings a classic West Coast cocktail flavor profile to the table — the perfect way to kick off or wind down your night. Final Thoughts The Mission Bay is more than just a themed restaurant; it’s a heartfelt tribute to the culture, cuisine, and creativity of San Francisco — seamlessly adapted to the Delhi dining scene. Whether you're a foodie chasing new flavors or someone seeking the California dream in India, The Mission Bay offers an experience that’s worth exploring. Next time you're in South Delhi, swing by the Eldeco Centre and let your tastebuds take a trip to the Bay.
