Had a really nice experience at Sunrise Restaurant. Location – 5/5: Perfect location on the cliff with a beautiful sea view and relaxing atmosphere. Food – 4/5: Food was tasty with good options on the menu. Fresh and well prepared. Service – 5/5: Very friendly and attentive staff. Service was quick and welcoming. Price – 4.5/5: Compared with many other restaurants on the cliff, the price feels reasonable for the quality and view. This has become our most visited restaurant on the Varkala Cliff whenever we come here. Great place to relax, enjoy good food, and take in the ocean view. Highly recommended! Poor payment handling and unprofessional refund process. Paid ₹1770 on 14th Feb, payment failed on their machine but amount was debited. Paid again. They promised refund if double credited. It was credited, but they kept delaying the refund for days despite proof. Had to visit again to finally get the money. Very inconvenient experience.

Sun Rise Restaurant in Varkala has a lovely rooftop setup with sea-view seating, which is definitely the highlight of the place. The ambiance is relaxed and perfect for enjoying the view. I tried the biryani, which was decent but nothing special. The peri peri French fries were actually quite good, both in taste and quantity. I also had the arrabiata pizza, which was okay but not very memorable. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow and really frustrating, which affected the overall experience. The place has potential because of the view, but the service needs serious improvement.
