We spent two nights there. The stay was okay. The resort is located right next to the cliff, and the view was beautiful. They have independent cottages that look beautiful, and we stayed in one. However, they felt quite old — the doors, bed, and bedsheets all seemed dated. The surroundings could have been better maintained too. I’m not sure if it was because of the off-season, but they could make the resort much nicer. Breakfast is complimentary and it was good. Overall, it was okay. Service: 3

Scenic Stay at North Cliff with Stunning Beach Views Clafouti Beach Resort offers a very scenic and peaceful stay experience at North Cliff. We stayed in the cottage, and the panoramic sea view from the property was truly amazing. An evening walk from the resort down the stairs takes you to Papanasam Beach on the left and the Black Sand Beach on the right — a beautiful experience for beach lovers. We especially enjoyed sitting in the cottage sit-out with coffee while listening to the roaring waves and watching the sea. The sunset view visible right from the resort premises adds to the charm of the place. Mr. Vaheed, the security staff, deserves special mention for being extremely helpful and friendly. He guided us well regarding the beaches and nearby spots. A couple of suggestions for the management: We visited during April, and the weather was extremely hot and humid. Adding a fan in the cottage sit-out area would make guests much more comfortable while relaxing outdoors. Also, since the resort offers such a wonderful panoramic sea and sunset view, placing a few cement benches facing the beach would help guests sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery comfortably. Overall, the stay was very enjoyable and memorable. Service: 4

The location of this place is absolutely awesome, with a direct sea view and a great food court. It has so much potential and we truly loved it during our last visit 4 years ago. However, this time we felt that the property is not being maintained properly. The rooms are not in good condition and the Wi-Fi was not working at all. Our plan was to work from here (workstation), but we eventually had to take leave because of the Wi-Fi issue. It’s really sad to see such a good place not being maintained the way it used to be. We had a very good experience earlier, but this time it was not up to the mark.
