Shoddy property, bad service, extremely crowded common areas. Property is old and not well maintained. Breakfast space is a small room with tables joined together. It was loud and extremely chaotic. More like a hawker centre than a hotel tucked in the hills. Worst part was the completely hands off attitude of the hotel manager and house keeping staff. In our room the window behind the bed doesnt close so it was letting in cold air. When we brought this up to the manager, he off handedly said we will send someone and looked away. No enquiry about exact issue and no follow up later. We had to call again until a housekeeping staff appeared. He checked the window and said he would need to get a few people to fix this and cant be done tonight. So we asked to be moved to a different room. This was never acknowledged, the guy just said he will come back in some time and never did. We slept that night with heater on all night and our heads covered to minimize effect of the cold breeze. We checked out next morning. Never staying at a sterling again! . Service: 1
