We visited Nandhana Palace, Indiranagar recently and ordered a mix of items — a few starters, Veg Biryani, Mushroom Biryani, Dal, Garlic Naan, and Masala Soda. The experience was mostly good, with some things worth appreciating and a few that could be better. The starters arrived fairly quickly and were nicely done — flavorful and served hot. The spices were bold (typical of Andhra cuisine), and the portions were decent. They definitely set the tone for the meal. The Veg Biryani and Mushroom Biryani were both rich and aromatic, though on the heavier side with a noticeable oily touch. The flavors were strong and authentic — you can tell they don’t hold back on the masala. If you enjoy spicy Andhra-style biryani, you’ll probably love it. The rice was well-cooked, and the mushroom pieces were fresh. The Dal paired well with the Garlic Naan, which was soft, garlicky, and served warm. Together they balanced the spiciness of the biryanis quite well. The Masala Soda was refreshing and helped cut through the richness of the food — a good call if you’re ordering anything spicy here. Service was polite and quick, and the staff checked in a couple of times to make sure everything was fine. The ambience is clean and family-friendly, though it can get a bit noisy during peak hours. Overall, I’d say it was a satisfying experience. The food is flavorful, filling, and true to Andhra style, but if you prefer milder food, you might find it a bit spicy or greasy. A Great Spot for Andhra-Style Comfort Food! I recently visited Nandhana Restaurant in Indiranagar and had a thoroughly enjoyable meal! The real standout here is their Veg Meals—they are absolutely the go-to item when dining in. With a lot of options and that comforting touch of ghee and pappu (dal), it feels like a genuine, hearty Andhra meal. We tried a few other dishes as well: -The Mushroom Ghee Roast was good, though I felt the flavors could have been a little more deeply infused for that perfect ghee roast experience. -The Amravati Chicken Fry was a new dish for me, and I was impressed! It had great, sharp flavors and was tasty enough to really hit the right spot. -The Mutton Pepper Boneless was another winner. The quantity was generous, and the spicy, peppery taste was spot-on. As for the service, it was fine overall, but I do think it needs to be a little better in terms of the promptness of bringing the food to the table. Overall, it was a good experience. The food felt authentic, and I would definitely love to visit again to explore more of their menu! Highly recommend for anyone craving spicy Andhra cuisine.
