Had a great time at our valentines dinner at Silvya, W, Goa. The was awesome and well served. Chef Nikhil took care of our course needs very closely and Miss Padmaja helped us out with the serving and anything else we needed. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a very disappointing experience at Spice Traders during our lunch visit. Despite having a pre-booking, when we arrived there was no staff present at the entrance. We waited for quite some time, genuinely thinking the restaurant might be closed. We had to walk inside, go upstairs, and eventually call out into the kitchen ourselves to find someone. Only after entering the kitchen area did we finally find a staff member who confirmed the restaurant was open and then seated us. Overall, we were unattended for nearly 25 minutes despite a reservation. The food quality was extremely poor. We ordered three dishes, including udon noodles, which were honestly the worst we’ve had. They tasted like basic Hakka noodles, and the oil used had a strong, unpleasant smell, suggesting it may not have been fresh. The edamame truffle dumplings were also very disappointing. What was most concerning, however, is that both my wife and I suffered food poisoning after this meal. My wife had multiple episodes of vomiting, and we both had to take medication. The next two days of our Goa trip were completely ruined because of this. Throughout the rest of our trip, we ate different food at different places. The only common item both of us shared was the noodles at Spice Traders, which makes it very clear where the issue originated. Poor service is one thing, but food safety is non-negotiable. This experience was genuinely alarming, and we would strongly urge the restaurant to review its hygiene, ingredient quality, and kitchen practices.
