I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Souk at the Taj Mahal Palace, and it was an unforgettable experience! The restaurant’s open-air terrace offers stunning panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India, making it the perfect spot for a celebration. The warm lighting, cozy yet elegant seating, and soft breeze made the whole atmosphere feel magical, especially as the awesome views of the arabian sea in the morning light! The staff were incredibly attentive, and the service was impeccable, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and memorable. I loved how they made my birthday feel extra special, with small thoughtful touches like a personalized greeting and a dessert to mark the occasion. Now, let’s talk about the food. Souk is a treasure trove of flavors, and their vegetarian options were an absolute highlight! The menu is inspired by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, and there was no shortage of choices for plant-based diners like me. The Fattoush salad was fresh and tangy, and the Tabbouleh was so flavorful with a perfect balance of herbs and citrus. But the real standout for me was the vegetable kebabs, which were cooked to perfection with a smoky char and bursting with flavor.
