Visited on 18 Feb 2025 I was very excited to visit this place for the first time but my joy was quickly killed with the average food that was served here. We first ordered some starters which took an incredibly long time to come out of the kitchen (almost 20 mins). We asked for recommendation and based on it ordered Raan Sonargaon (which was average), Kakori Kebab (tasted good) and bhatti ki murg (which was quite dry and flavour was ok). All of the items tasted average and was not even close to the most flavourful food I've had in this city. The menu was quite confusing: This is marketed as a Bengali restaurant but half the items are from North India? Many dishes I failed to find any link with our food history. Maybe I'm wrong here and I'd be happy to be corrected. We were so disappointed by the limited amount of mutton dishes (not lamb) on the menu (I think there is only 1? Even the biryani is lamb) that we decided to grab main course at the adjoining Cal 27 instead. Food was much better there. Service was quite average and we had a far better service experience at Cal 27. I do not know what happened here. Maybe it was a bad day in the kitchen? Who knows! But this experience definitely left me sour and unwilling to visit this restaurant again in the future.
