This restaurant provides you with nice food and a place to rest after a long walk around MDDA Park. Don't forget to try perfectly cooked momos and good chicken at Sonam Kitchen. A number of visitors find the staff competent. Most guests have noticed that the service is enjoyable. Can't say anything about the food but the people operating this place (the man & woman on counter) are extremely rude. We went there to specially try their laphing. It was unavailable once so went went again the next day. As soon as we entered & asked if the it was available the owner very rudely told us that we won't allow you to sit if u only order laphing. Now there are two things first of all the whole place was empty( we would understand the concern if the place was packed), secondly if we would have sat we would have definitely ordered other things too but once that man said that you WILL have to order other things if we want a table we decided to leave. Don't really understand the arrogance. I hope people stop visiting to this place for them to understand that every customer matters irrespective of what they buy. I didn't really paid heed at that time but now after reading so many reviews about how these people misbehave with customers such places should shut down permanently. He's also blaming it on language barrier & how he is a one man operation, No bro you are just an ILL MANNERED person. Peace Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

If my response hurt your ego l sorry about that, you ordered one laphing for 4 people and wanted to seat for hours, please stop using different accounts to give fake reviews thank you and have a great day, and I’m not your “bro” please have some respect plus all your reviews to all business is one star. I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a very unpleasant experience. I ordered chicken momos and chowmein, but both were extremely disappointing. The chowmein had a bitter taste and was not cooked properly, while the momos were simply awful in taste and quality. What made the experience worse was the staff’s rude and unprofessional behavior. They were not courteous while dealing with customers, which is very disappointing. To top it off, they had added extra items to my bill that I never ordered, just to inflate the total amount. Thankfully, I checked the bill carefully and caught the mistake in time. This place is a complete waste of money and time. I strongly advise others to avoid it. Thank you for your review, we deal with many orders, it was a simple mistake, which was 2 beef momo on the bill instead of one chicken and one beef. We all makes mistakes were a human being. you brought outside food and was eating inside the restaurant, which is not allowed. I didn’t even say anything until at the end referred to next time if you come there’s no outside food allowed, just because I told you there’s no outside food allowed doesn’t mean you can write a fake review, please have some respect. I know you definitely like the food because of the way you ate, cleaned up the plate.

This is one of my favorite places in dehradun, peaceful environment, ambience, calmness, hospitality, and food .. everything is just wow. This is a very small restaurant which is always full and serves one of best tibetan food in Dehradun. As soon as you enter inside Sonam kitchen, your vibes will change, you will feel relaxed, hungry, peaceful and food served here is so soul filling. It just does not fill your stomach but your soul too. Once you go to Sonam Kitchen, you will go here again and again. I don't crave for dish now, I crave for Sonam Kitchen now. They make their food as per your taste. We ordered non spicy and it was always non spicy unlike few others. Owner of this place is so hospitable and calm, just by looking at him you will feel peaceful. Don't think twice, just go to Sonam Kitchen. Shabaley and Kothey are must eat there.
