Chicken Grilled Sandwich - Rs.130/- Black Tea - Rs.20/- Snack Shack, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong Snack Shop $$ 21.12.24 I have been moving around the whole day that apart from the Hotdog in the morning & the fried momos at Sly's & Vev's place I've not had time to have proper lunch. In the afternoon I went to pick up @amarnathhazarika & we went for a drive but yes we were horribly stuck in traffic the entire time. Finally at 6pm we reached Mawdiangdiang & I just wanted to have something to eat & since Amarnath was going for dinner after an hour, I decided to just grab a cup of tea & snacks. Now I've passed Snack Shack countless times but never had a reason to stop until now. We entered inside & I thought that it was more of a takeaway place only to be surprised to see a couple of tables inside. We entered in & had a look at the menu which had mostly snacks like the name would suggest. Now since we were scared of being stuck in traffic again, we asked the gentleman the items which would be the fastest. So I ended up with a Chicken Grilled Sandwich & Amarnath got himself a Chicken roll & we both asked for a cup of black tea. The orders hardly took 10 mins to come. The sandwich was decently sized & was properly grilled. It had a good amount of cheese as well. I took a bite & yes this wasn't bad at all. Would have been perfect with a mustard sauce dip. The only thing I felt was that the chicken was slightly on the lesser side. But for 100 odd bucks I guess it was fine. The tea was the normal tea. Amarnath did mention that he liked his chicken roll as well. Overall a decent place for a light affordable snack. It's a small place in the Treetops Residency complex. Quick and good service. The staff is polite. And the food was good too. We ordered from the 'snack' section and everything was tasty. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section
