There is a lovely view from this restaurant. The staff is said to be creative here. The good service is a big benefit of Shining hills by Lawrence.. Prices are found adequate here. This place is rated on Google 4.5 by its guests.
Very very bad experience! Rooms are filthy. Dirty bedsheets with disgusting stains that clearly hadn't been changed in weeks. The restaurant service? PATHETIC. I had to ask FOUR TIMES just to get WATER! WATER! The most BASIC necessity! And only after screaming at the staff did they finally bother. It takes them a mind-numbing 45 minutes to an hour to serve food after ordering. Apparently, their kitchen is tucked away in some basement, so the servers lazily wait for the entire order to be completed before bringing it up, just so they can avoid climbing the stairs multiple times. The result? Cold food served in the freezing December weather! My hot and sour soup was cold and tasted sweet. SWEET! I had to send it back and request a replacement, which, unsurprisingly, never arrived. When I confronted a server about the delayed water service after repeated requests, he had the audacity to show attitude and talk back! He then stood in the corner glaring, while the manager just stood there doing NOTHING. The breakfast was somehow EVEN WORSE. When we sat down, items were missing they promised just one hour back were missing! Missing items included promised South Indian food, fruits/fruit juice. Just shameless false promises and sheer incompetence! Avoid this place at ALL COSTS unless you want your holidays utterly ruined. An absolute disgrace. Service: 1
The entire experience was amazing at Shining Hills by Lawrence. The rooms were pretty neat and tidy. The view from the room was wonderful! The food was at par with any renowned 5 star restaurant, especially their butter chicken. The staffs are very cooperative and cordial. Overall, the experience was 10/10. Would love to visit again. I recently stayed at this hotel and here’s my experience: 1. Challenging Roads: The roads leading to the hotel were quite difficult, especially for those not used to mountain driving. 2. Bathroom Issues: The bathroom was stinky, and there was no water supply initially. After a lot of back and forth with the staff, the water supply was restored. However, there is no geyser in the bathroom. The hotel relies on a centralized geyser, which meant I never got hot water. Eventually, they provided a water heater rod, but it took nearly an hour to heat the water. 3. Average Food: The food was okay, but the breakfast options were very limited. 4. Staff Behavior: The staff's behavior was not very accommodating or professional. 5. Disappointing Balcony: While they provided a valley view room with a balcony, the balcony was so small it was difficult to even stand there comfortably. 6. Misleading Location Claims: The hotel advertises itself as being close to most tourist spots, but in reality, everything is quite far away. 7. There is a spider web everywhere Recommendation: I would not recommend booking this hotel. Service: 1
