Once the promenade around the Ward's Lake is over, visit Shad Skye. A number of visitors mention that the staff is good at this bar. Fine service is something clients like here. You will certainly appreciate the homey atmosphere. As for the Google rating, Shad Skye achieved 4.7.

Quite possibly one of the best cocktail bars I've ever been to in India. Their cocktails were one of a kind flavour journeys that you'll remember for a long time. Combined with the elegant ambience and the beautiful view of shillong from its balcony, this is one of those places you truly cannot miss!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Just wow, I am so glad I stumbled across this, because there are no sign boards visible. The cocktails are delicious and the place is beautiful. Its a peaceful nook to enjoy your drinks with a sky view of the city. Their menu is also beautiful, because they are meant to serve great drinks and offer the perfect type of food with it. Try to book a table in advance and wear shoes. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Shad Skye is among the rare places in the country which serves just the right combination of indulgence, Heritage, ambience and originality without giving into pretentiousness, and that’s precisely why it makes to the top of my go-to list when it comes to both Bars and Restaurants. The signature cocktails are just right for someone who wants to explore the richness of NorthEastern flavours packed in contemporary style, while enjoying Shillong’s shimmering vista from the tastefully decorated 6th floor Bar. The restaurant performs equally well in terms of food, and not just in main course dishes, but also with condiments like which serve the region’s colours in bite sized bursts. The hospitality is great, service is swift and ambience is subtly opulent. I try not to miss a quick visit everytime I am in town. Although on the pricier side of Shillong’s hospitality menu, yet an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to check out the city’s fine-dine options (and even leave with a postcard souvenir from them, reminiscent of Shad Skye’s stylish eye to detail!).
