TLDR; Unhygienic, waste of money, and pathetic food. Upon arrival to the restaurant, the staff will get you seated under the AC and will immediately start serving you plates of starters. While initially impressed by the quick service, our expectations fell drastically after just a few bites of our meal. The first starter was a sweet corn soup, which was far too thick and quite cold. It came with two tiny pieces of bread, and was perhaps the most painfully average starter I've ever had. Then, the waiter had placed a huge tray of papad in front of us with some dry ice to make it appear luxurious, but the fact is that it was simple fryems that anyone can get from a cheap grocery store. Even their spring rolls were bad. The starters were so oily and unhealthy, which we did not expect from a pure veg restaurant. They also left us with a rather full feeling, which makes us suspicious of the food having some soda in it. The buffet is advertised to be their specialty, but their variety is pathetic. Every dish has so much ghee to mask the taste of meals without onion and garlic. Their Chinese options were noodles and Manchurian balls with gravy. The Manchurian balls were so salty that I was able to take only one bite of the dish. They tried to create a nice look by giving little servings of lemon rice and pulyogre in tiny pressure cookers that come in cooking playsets for children. It was left open, so it didn't seem very safe to eat, nor very filling. Indian cuisine is known for having the best veg options, and restaurants like Sattvam claim to serve luxury whilst grabbing your money. The main course was so disappointing that I ended up eating most of the plate of fryems they had left us earlier. I went to the live counter to get two slices of cheese pizza. The guy behind it didn't seem to know English very well. To my horror, he took the stale looking pizza slice from the display and popped it in the oven, all whilst claiming it was fresh. The point of a live counter is to make the food LIVE, not take a slice off the display, heat it up and hand it to the customer. For whatever reason, Sattvam has a wider range of sweets than the main course. They had a chocolate fountain, which perhaps was the only nice thing to see in the entire restaurant. Usually, chocolate fountains come with strawberries on the side to enjoy chocolate with, but they had put muskmelon and watermelon instead. Their pastries are just the same as you'd expect, very average. Their Indian sweets were really awful, too. The Gulab Jamun was warm, yet it had such a bad sour taste to it, which made it seem like it was spoiled. I decided to also try rolled ice cream. However, there were TWO cockroaches near the ice cream area. I somehow gulped down my food after realizing that there must be cockroaches all over the kitchen as well. This three course meal felt more like going through three levels of torture. The cost of everything for 3 people was almost 3k, which is such ridiculous price for such an average meal. Buffet restaurants like BBQ Nation, ABs, and more will leave you feeling satisfied just with their grills at a lesser price. They offered us pan, but it was very stale and wasn't enjoyable. Finally, even the waiter was very rude and was standing behind us, waiting to pay and peeking into the phone to see if we have paid or not. Its extremely rude to see other people paying, and we had to ask him to leave until we were done paying. Such common sense is expected from the waiting staff, and seeing it not being followed leaves one feeling angry at the loss of money and lack of good experience. Other reviews of this restaurant are mostly posted by people attending team dinners or hardcore vegetarians who have only eaten from such restaurants before. Most non-veg serving restaurants are able to serve good quality veg food as well, whereas vegetarian restaurants like to take advantage of the fact that vegetarians have such limited options that they can't possibly complain about the quality of food. Sattvam is one such place, and we'll never come again. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
