This is one of the few downtown watering holes in the CP-Barakhamba area. It's a rare gem hidden away in the outer circle, near the Saravana Bhawan, on the upstairs of Hotel Alka. Been going here for the past five years, ever since i was introduced by the seniors. Clientele is mostly office goers and old friends of Saqi Bar. Vibe. Time stands still as if you're in the 70s. The decor, the vibe, the servers, all seem like they're frozen in time. However, its clean and safe. Understated, with a lot of character, Saqi Bar is the type of place you'd expect to find in Mumbai. Prices are also unbeatable for the CP area. Has a spacious smoking lounge on the back. Always remember: "Ishq ki galiyon mein na jana Ishq bada badnaam hai, Ishq toh mera khuda hai Aashiq mera naam hai. Ashiqui ki harr kadam mein Roz katle aam hai Ashiqui pe jaan lutana Ashiqo ka kaam hai.
