We visited Salt and cravings recently with high hopes based on friends’ recommendations. The ambiance was pleasant and the staff were friendly, but unfortunately our experience fell flat when the platter of mixed starters arrived noticeably cold. When we flagged it with our server, they took it away to be reheated. We appreciated the effort, but it came back cold again—same temperature as before. That was disappointing, especially for a platter designed to be enjoyed hot. We were excited to eat but the taste and texture suffered when the food wasn’t warm. We weren’t trying to be unreasonable—but we felt the kitchen might have rushed it or under-prioritized plating temperature. A quick check with a kitchen timer or having a warmer holding station could help ensure dishes reach the table at the right temperature. Overall, the concept is good and the staff handled themselves well, but cold food really impacted our enjoyment. We hope the management can address this to elevate what otherwise seems like a promising spot. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

If you spending this much , I tried chinese, clear soup, vegetables in garlic sause and hakka noodles, at this price I would suggest kylin, bercos , the preparation was very desi, over spicy and low quality of service , never ever coming back lost it old charm. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Salt & Cravings is a cute little place located in Astley hall, Dehradun. It is a good choice for desserts.
