I have visited this place with my parents...we went for lunch...dad ordered veg biriyani which was okay of all the food we had...mom ordered veg meals which for the cost doesn't have much variety...and I ordered kothu parota which is not good...we ordered curd vada also which is nothing but some balls dumped in curd and karabundi on top...service was good..but the quality of food for the money they charge is not worth it. SAI CAFÉ -NAGERCOIL We were driving down from Trivandrum to attend a meeting at the Nagercoil collectorate. We were searching for a place to have lunch and decided to try out Sai Café. The restaurant is located about 500 metres before reaching Parvathipuram in Nagercoil. The restaurant is more of an open-type restaurant. Very clean. Has large number of tables that can accommodate a large number of guests. Car parking is available at the roadside. There is also a large parking lot behind the hall that can accommodate more than 20 cars. We had a mini meal each. It was more of a jumbo meal with assorted rice preparations like curd rice, sambar rice, lemon rice, tamarind rice, vegetable biryani with raitha, pappad (appalam), beetroot thoran, a paratha and a sweet dish. The meal was priced at Rs 200 per plate. On the way back too we dropped in and had a sambar vada and tea. Lights snacks are available at all times. There is also juice counter. The coffee and tea counter offers regular stuff. In addition you can get karuppetti kaapi, chukka kaapi, lemon tea, mint tea etc. Will go there again when I visit Nagercoil next. New update: Went again for lunch. This time we had vegetarian meals served on banana leaves. At Rs 150 per meal was quite affordable. Rice was served with small helpings of 3 dishes, dal, sambar, vattakulambu, rasam and curd. A small bowl of payasam was also included. Very attentive waiters. Toilets were extremely clean. Enough parking space. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹1–200 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian Vegetarian options: Tried the mini meals. Excellent. Regular meals, tiffin items, snacks, juices, variety of coffee and tea also available Also tried the regular vegetarian meals. At Rs 150, it was quite decent.
