DO NOT GO HERE. This used to be a good restaurant a few years ago, but it seems the management has changed. The overall quality has gone downhill. The first thing we noticed was the condition of the floor, it was slippery, slushy, and felt extremely unhygienic (as good as a gutter) We decided to order only starters first, based on the recent google reviews, and planned to order the main course later if the food was good. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. The chicken lollipop tasted like it had been refried multiple times, and the chicken was black inside. The crispy chicken was so hard that I called the waiter over and asked him to check it. Instead of even inspecting it, the moment I pointed out that it felt like old chicken taken out of the fridge and reheated, he immediately said, “I’ll take it back,” which only confirmed our suspicion. At that point, we decided not to order anything else and got up to leave. To make matters worse, the bill included rotis that we had never ordered. The owner was standing outside throughout this and didn’t seem concerned at all. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience with poor food quality, careless service, incorrect billing, and complete lack of accountability. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I had one of the worst dining experiences in Mahabaleshwar. What made it even more disappointing was that this was during the off-season in July, so the poor experience couldn’t be blamed on heavy crowds. The restaurant was unhygienic, the service was extremely poor, and there was no proper system for taking orders or serving food. The staff lacked professionalism, communication was poor, and there was very little attention given to customers. Mahabaleshwar is a major tourist destination, and visitors expect basic cleanliness, good hygiene, and courteous service. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those expectations. I hope restaurants here improve their hygiene standards and customer service. Meal type: Dinner

I had a very bad experience at this restaurant. The food was terrible, and the service was even worse. The old Sagar Restaurant used to be one of the best places to eat in Mahabaleshwar, serving delicious food with excellent service. Unfortunately the ownership and staff have changed and the quality has completely declined. The food no longer tastes the same, the service is disappointing and the overall experience was frustrating. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
